Is my website elligible for a Care Plan?
If you have a WordPress, or Duda website that needs TLC, then yes! We primarily specialize in these web platforms, and can perform our full suite of website maintenance services to help you. After signing on, we’ll conduct an initial audit of your site to determine if any special needs are present at the onset, and then from there we’ll be off and running!
Why does my website need to be compliant?
Since the recent DOJ affirmation, all business-related websites are now considered places of public accommodations and must be accessible for people with disabilities. The exponential growth in web accessibility lawsuits has a widespread effect across most industries, with small and medium businesses right in the center of the storm. Lawsuit numbers are estimated to continue to increase as the need to enable accessible digital experiences becomes more prominent.
About 20-25% of the population has a disability of some kind, and there has been a 200% increase in lawsuits and demand letters from 2017 to 2018, with 2019 tripling 2018 in papers served. The DOJ affirms ADA applies to websites since November 2018, and 93% of demand letters settle outside of court for $20,000 –$150,000 on average, with 7% of businesses that fight and lose in court
